Hueco Wrap Up

great friends and good climbing sums up this season in the tanks. i didn't send everything i wanted and i'm leaving with a hurt finger but i had a great time.
prairie had a huge breakthrough, sending see spot run, uncut yogi, mexican chicken and a slew of other climbs. i guess that's what happens when you don't work for a year and a half.


kris and chris were gracious hosts, tolerating a hippie invasion every off-day. among the people we brought into their las cruces house with no warning were two swedes, some dirty southerners, and a random cyclist. they haven't seen the last of the kearneys.

Young Lance Armstrong

One day Brian Sell decided to jump on his bicycle and ride from San Diego to Florida and then up to Pennsylvania. Our paths crossed in Las Cruces, NM where Kris and Chris provided a couch and a shower (what's one more hippie?). After dubbing Brian "Young Lance Armstrong" Prairie and I took him down to Hueco Tanks for a day of climbing before watching him peddle off down the road.Young Lance fuels up on a hippie burrito next to his trusty steed.

prairie had to take four trips to uncut yogi to send. the struggle makes the accent that much sweeter.

Captain Cha-Cha and the Omega Kid

I picked up Johan (Captain Cha-Cha) and Oscar (the Omega Kid) and loaded them in my van. the swedes are getting a crash course in dirtbag van-living and roof climbing.
